The Christian Thrift Shop

We are located in a small house-like building behind Wesley United Methodist Church, 3915 Gollihar Rd, Corpus Christi, TX, 78415.  The building sits at the end of the back parking lot.

We are open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays.  You can reach us by telephone at (361) 857-7003 during our hours of operation.  Due to a shortage of volunteer staff we are not currently able to open on Thursdays which had been our custom.

All of our items are very affordable and our prices include sales tax.  For example, if you buy a one dollar item, then you simply pay $1.00 exactly.  (Periodically, we remit the sales taxes due to the state government.  On the item we sold for $1.00 about $0.08 goes to the state leaving about $0.92 for the church.)

In addition to items donated by church members and patrons of the store, we receive donations of items that remain unsold after an estate sale in homes.  We sell clothing, shoes, housewares, books, paintings, tools, small furniture, etc.  Because our inventory is constantly turning over, many regular customers come weekly to see what is new.

Not infrequently we will have sales where Items priced above 25 cents will be sold for half off of their already low prices.

Proceeds from the thrift shop further the greater ministry of our church.  We have assisted the preschool operated by the church.  Some funds have gone to the greater connectional United Methodist Church supporting its ministries both global and domestic.  Sometimes the funds are needed locally for emergency repairs to our church.  The staff of the thrift shop are all unpaid volunteers who do not profit from the shop in any way.
