Rev. Joseph Tobias
Rev. Joseph Tobias is a passionate pastor, dedicated to serving people and transforming communities through faith-driven leadership. Originally from Nigeria, he brings a deep love for ministry, a heart for discipleship, and a commitment to building strong, faith-filled communities.
As the Lead Pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, Pastor Tobias is devoted to preaching the Gospel, mentoring believers, and leading impactful outreach initiatives. With over 15 years of ministry experience, his leadership is marked by strategic vision, compassionate care, and a passion for spiritual growth.
He holds a Master of Divinity from Hardin Simmons University Logsdon Seminary, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Baylor University Truett Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Theology from ECWA Theological Seminary. His background in pastoral care, chaplaincy, and community development equips him to bridge faith with everyday life in meaningful ways.
Beyond his calling, Pastor Tobias is a devoted family man. He is married to Njien Tobias, and together they are blessed with four wonderful children: Netanya (11), Jason (8), and twins Jola & Jodi (3).
In his free time, he enjoys basketball, soccer, music, and dancing—though his wife and kids may disagree with his dance moves!
Above all, Pastor Tobias is driven by his mission to serve God, serve people, and transform communities, leading with grace, wisdom, and a heart for Christ.
